lovely This is not as famous as some of the restaurants in New Orleans. It's also not as expensive. I don't think the food is as good as some places, but Pere Antoine's makes up for it in atmosphere. It's a very romantic and relaxing place to eat. It's worth going.

festering maggot-hole – I ended up in this festering shit-hole because I was hanging with folks from out of town and one of them said he always eats at Pere Antoine when visiting New Orleans. Do not eat at Pere Antoine unless: You like pus-colored coleslaw that has the consistency of vaginal secretions. Worst restaurant in New Orleans – I feel so sad for tourists who eat here because it sort of looks like a classic New Orleans restaurant. It does well off the fact that it looks like the kind of place you'd stroll in to when your exhausted and just want to sit down and have a nice meal. But it's really, really terrible. The food is improperly prepared, the silverware and plates are filthy, the service is awful. There are SO MANY option in the French Quarter.
