I was not impressed. I came in after my previous psychiatrist went out on medical leave. Dr. Perchellet was commenting negatively on my medical care I was receiving from someone else, which did not pertain to why I was there. I felt like I was being talked down to and it was really annoying. I asked to see another doctor and was told she was my only option so I went to another doctor based in Liberty, MO. Honestly I'd give her zero stars if I could.
When I first saw Dr. Perchellet, I thought it was going to be very hard to get to know her. However, after a couple of visits, we seem to click as far as patient and doctor. She is very organized and very good with questions asked as far as questions regarding your condition. I don’t feel nervous or scared to ever ask her any questions but I would suggest being honest with her so she can give you the best treatment she has.
Easy to talk to, very informative about different medications and other options.
The first psychiatrist to actually listen to me! She is welcoming and calm which really helps me stay calm and explain how am feeling.
She’s a very good therapist because she listens she tries to help you figure it out and what is the best treatment.
Always listens. Asks me what I think I should do before she gives insight. Tells me when she thinks I am doing well and improving.
Dr. Melissa was an excellent choice for me after years of suffering with anxiety and depression. She was gentle with me, kind, patient and very professional. The medications and the visits with her really helped me to feel functional and better about myself as a person. I was able to function in the world again with much better confidence. I can't thank her enough.
I changed from another doctor who didn't even know the side affects I would have in getting off of Xanax (to which I was kept on for six years) after becoming tolerant of the drug and asking to change. Coming to Dr. P I realized that I could change my anti-depressant too, which wasn't very affective but never talked about with any other doctors I had. I love how she is more than just the medicine too, offering advice, combining her treatment with other treatments, and more. Wish I could say more
Disrespectful. She has asked for my therapist's treatment plan without asking if I'm comfortable sharing it, scolds me like a child when I forget to take my medicine, gives me no time to consider my answers when she asks questions, has insulted my job by telling me to find something more intellectual after I expressed that I LIKE my job. She wants to be both psychiatrist and talk therapist and does not respect boundaries. I feel incredibly uncomfortable in her office and dread appointments.
