We were a group of 10 that had reserved the vault room for a party. Everything was above and beyond. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the owner even went out to buy bananas so we could have bananas foster. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
I’m not sure how everyone thinks the food is great as nothing we ordered looks like the photos on here. Maybe we had a bad chef since it was a weekday but the food was inedible for the most part (especially for the price which are offensive & we’ve been to plenty of great restaurants at these prices). Overly salted, overly oiled & greasy with literally every side dish (Brussels, potatoes, etc) except the protein (where the sauce was on the side..) Hard bread. Meh. New in town, looking for upscale dining, but missed the mark. Reasonable wine selection. Menu looks great but didn’t meet expectations. Wife had the airline chicken in dill sauce with root veggies. Chicken was tasty, veggies overcooked and hard to distinguish one from the other. I had the beef medallions with porcini risotto and asparagus. Beef was correctly cooked but not the best beef I’ve had. Risotto had a different flavor that overshadowed the beef and not in a good way. We’ll keep looking.
This was the best meal I have had in the Cedar Rapids Area - 10/10! The steak (NY Strip) was absolutely fantastic. Also, the Pork Belly was a great appetizer as well. Service was 10/10 and the owner (Jude) stopped by the table himself to chat with us. We will definitely be back!
