Jay at Pepper Palace was incredible. I told him what I was looking for and he pulled a few sauces for me to try that were all amazing. I ended up grabbing the Aztec Green Habanero and the Voodoo Reaper because he matched my taste perfectly. He was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience fun.

I was so excited when my wife surprised me with a jar of Ghost pepper salsa. Its very hard to find, most are just habanero or mixed with fruit. Although it certainly is packin' the heat, I find it lacking any depth/complexity/body. Ii found it to taste like flat, watery, spicy tomato sauce (even after a good shake a chill in the fridge. May I suggest some acid (lime juice or vinegar?) cilantro, onion for a bit o' sweetness. It defiantly is fresh though , and is great for chips! Keep up the good work!
The gentleman working there was very personable and asked great questions in helping to narrow down what might interest me. The shop has such a huge variety, so I appreciated that. He was also very knowledgeable about the sauces and their ingredients. I'd highly recommend this shop, especially to folks who might find the typical grocery store selections a little limited.
Sage is a great guy with great knowledge on spices.
