What a great find! If you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in the TriBeCa area, look no further and go to Pepilino. The service and food were both excellent!

Not impressed – I have heard rave reviews about this restaurant so I went with my husband and some friends to check it out last week. I have to say it was basic average Italian food. We had a decent bottle of wine, the bread was fresh and we and they gave what looked like a tomato flan accompany the bread. For appetizers we had salads and shared the Calamari. I had spaghetti with tomatoes and fresh thyme, my husband had the Pappardelle. Our friends had a seafood special and Gnocchi. Again, nothing to rave about but was decen... read more

Pleasant Friday night dinner, fresh organic food – The location is a little odd, as you are walking through the stalls of canal street you feel a little dirty and start to question what to expect once you get to this restaurant. However, once there you have just barely passed the neighborhood threshold into Tribeca and feel instantly relieved. The outdoor seating was cutely lit with votives and outdoor string lights and you forget about where you are. The food was quite good. I had the papparedelle which was good, but nothin... read more

Fabulous – I am glad that this restaurant is too classy to accomodate idiots who try to negotiate menu prices and ask for an avacado at an italian restaurant. This place is wonderful, and also seems to deter the tacky riffraff, so even better.

Is that accent real or just bad acting classes? – Our server was rude and insulting. When asked if the kitchen had an avocado (due to a restricted diet) he dramatically (and rudely) informed us that avocados are a MEXICAN fruit and this was an italian restaurant where they only serve ITALIAN fruit. In addition to rushing us on our order and snapping the menus out of our hands I asked for an amended item on the menu so as not to spend $27 on the dish and was told 'no no no....not $27' but guess what.......when the bill came..... read more

best cheesecake... EVER – I went there tonight for dinner, and everything was perfect, from the appetizers, we had delicious mussels and stracchino bruschetta, wow..... the pasta al limone was really delicious, and the meat pasta was really good too. After MAtteo, our waiter told us to try the dessert, he insisted he chose. We let him choose for us, when i saw the cheescak i was somehow disappointed, i don't like cheesecake, i am from near milano and i really never had a good cheesecake. I was SOO wrong.... their cheesecake ... read more

My favorite NYC Tuscan spot – When my husband and I visit we re-live our Tuscan honeymoon and all the wonderful food we had. We've been 3 or 4 times, and it's never disappointed, and have dragged our parents there. They're fussy eaters, but raved about this place.
