We had very high expectations for our dining experience at PepeNero’s for our night out while traveling in Traverse City. We choose this location based off of the glowing reviews, the menu, and the beautiful ambiance. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time.
Wish I could give this place 10 stars. This place is our go to date night spot. The menu is so good that we compared it everywhere to our Italy trip last month and nothing compares to the quality of Pepenero. We travel four hours to enjoy a meal here an hour from our cabin. Melissa, our go to waitress, is the most kind soul and understands true customer service. We would request her every time if she was there every time. OMG, just travelled in from California. It’s a Saturday night with no reservations for dinner and we were at the commons. Walked into this beautiful restaurant, asked if they could seat 2. Room at the bar. WOW, what fine. This is definitely in our top 5 Italian restaurants. Outstanding unique menu, very fresh and authentic. Wine selection was really a find as well. Staff is more than 5 stars (Tks Kathleen) and the tiramisu was the best we have ever had, ever!!!! What a find and treat.
