I arrived at 6:30 am, hoping to see a doctor. I waited for 5 hours, then my husband went to talk to the nurse to ask how much later to see the doctor. The nurse told him just be patient we are short staff on doctors. A rude response to a polite question. We are seniors and after that experience we hope to God we will never end up there again. It was not a happy place.

I just did 40 hours in the penticton ER. I was in bad shape when I got there I guess. From throwing up all over the CT Scanner/room and scaring the shit out of the radiologists when I cleared my throat and you jumped thinking I was throwing up more. I felt awful you had to deal with that. And you guys play it off so well. Thing is I spent 15 years working in healthcare 5 of those years working for interior health. Been here for 4 hours so far, after being admitted where I explained my friend a trained chiropractor told me I had torn my bicep the nurse simply said “don’t tell me my job” you knew then it would be a day. Then I get admitted to the triage nurse who within 30 seconds agreed, waited only another 20 minutes to see the doctor who again confirmed the diagnosis but said I had torn wait for a mri. Unexpected fast experience with Penticton regional hospital!! All the walk ins were full and I ended up here with a minor emergency… expecting it to be awhile.. I was wrong! service was thoughtful and respectful , surprisingly speedy! Thank you Penticton health care workers !! I was born in this hospital and have always noticed low amounts of staff throughout my life. Seems like things are really getting better , I couldn’t be happier. Thanks again.

The woman with the Australian accent who took my 80 year old mother’s ultrasound should be relieved of her duties, immediately. Very rough physically with her (she has severe osteoporosis and multiple spine fractures), cold, and rude. My mom was made to feel inhuman. Who talks these people into being caregivers? Gross.
