I only came here because it was the closet ER but next time I will make the drive to go to UcHealth. I went in with a broken knee, had surgery the next day, and was admitted. The night shift completely ignored me when I needed something and only checked on me once in the night. I would recommend going elsewhere. The nicest staff were the nutrition and sanitation staff. The medical staff are rude, very judgmental, and disrespectful. They talk about patients and each other right in front of other patients. The physicians just want you in and out instead of taking the time to at least help relive the issue(s) you came in for. If you complain, you get treated worse. Very sad that the push of a “religious,” Catholic hospital that cares is just a cover.

My daughter, Elizabeth Fain, was treated with absolute disrespect at this hospital. She went in to the hospital in full Keto and several times it was mentioned that she was homeless, which she is not, and because she's a RECOVERING addict, she was treated like she was a criminal. She was yelled at by a nurse, forced to leave the hospital against her doctor's advice, and forced to sign a paper saying so. You claim that CommonSpirit is all about human kindness, but on my view, that us false advertising.

I was at Penrose for a EKG. Check in was fast and really pleasant. We waited about 10 minutes at most and the EKG went fine. Technician was wonderful too. Would definitely arrange any tests, if need be, at Penrose.
