I have 2019 Skoda superb. My battery died week before and I rang Skoda Penrith to check if they will check the car because it's still under warranty. Lady on the phone passed the call to another lady who told me battery is covered for 1 year only doesn't matter even if the car has 5 years warranty. Then I rang Thomson Skoda Parramatta. They heard whole situation and booked my car in for inspection and today they have replaced the battery under warranty.
