My 90-year-old mother was denied care today by Nurse Practitioner Penny Drazer, despite having a scheduled follow-up appointment made a month in advance after a hospital stay. We were told one day prior to arrive early for a “wellness visit” — we clarified this was not a wellness visit, but a follow-up for cognitive decline after a serious UTI. Penny gave me the best experience. She took her time, she listened to my needs and she was humane. She was compassionate like a mother , but sweet like a friend. She went over and beyond on trying to figure out the issues. If I could give 5 million stars I would. Not to mention the office she works in everybody was the true definition of real old school nursing and care center. They were friendly and seemed like they cared.
I will never go back to this office!!! After my doctor of 22 years (at that office) moved out of state at the end of December, Penny Drazer was listed as my primary care provider. She refused to see me twice when all I requested was a urinalysis test. She never talked to me directly, she relayed the messages through the other nurses and the receptionists.
