My solar panels from Pennsylvania Solar have now been on my roof for more than two years and its been a very positive experience. They kept me informed on the schedule for my work and got it done within the timeline promised. They handled all the permitting, inspections, and coordinated the final connections with Duquesne Light I didnt have to worry about any of it. The install went pretty much as expected. Professional, timely and efficient. They installed a 35.5 kW solar array and a 30 kW battery backup at my home. Permitting, installation and inspection went smoothly. Everything was handled by Pennsylvania Solar from start to finish and completed sooner than originally expected. The installation technicians were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The system they installed produces less than half of the energy they guaranteed, and it took 13 months longer than they quoted us. They had to outsource 75% of the installation to another company. That company had to come in and remedy all the errors that PA Solar had made. Then PA Solar wouldn't pay the sub-contractor, which I only found out when the sub-contractor had to notify me that they couldn't continue the install due to PA Solar's not paying them and the additional time required to fix PA Solar's mistakes. Seem like good guys but Bill will hound you relentlessly until you give him a decision. Calls in the evening, texts, etc. about getting a decision. It was off putting. I ultimately decided not to do solar at that time because of other capital projects going on at a couple of properties we were considering installing panels on. He also denigrates other contractors.
