I am horrified by the treatment my child and I received from Nurse Manager Amy at Penn State Pediatrics. I did not have my insurance ID and asked to be billed as "self-pay," at the the front desk. However, Amy barged into our exam room while the doctor was present and began yelling at me in a loud, aggressive voice. She even turned to the doctor and demanded they make sure we were billed as self-pay right in front of my confused eight-year-old. My twins are 3 and we’ve been coming here since they were born. I have nothing but positive things to say about the front desk, to the nurses, to every provider we have ever seen for countless sick visits-we have not had a bad experience! They can always get us in for sick visits with their extended cold and flu sick hours. Even with all of that, the real reason we continue to come here instead of the nyes road office which is much closer to home is their pediatrician Anita Charles. When you schedule sick visits online they call and tell you that your child can’t be seen. This is insane and uncalled for.
