I drove my mom here for the first time today. I got home and she told me how these were the kindest nurses ever. They made a scary process not so scary, comforting her and communicating well. As a 22 year old OT student, we learn all about building rapport w/ our patients. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that professionals uphold and practice what I am learning in school!!! I want to share my awesome experience with this Center, beginning with Susan Menges, who checks you in to the lovely girls who are in the room with you for a biopsy and the competent radiologist who performed the procedure along with the sweet resident who sensed my fear and nervousness and did everything to calm me. I was late for an ultrasound appointment because of an accident on Route 322. I was told that I needed to be rescheduled. Frustrating because of my work schedule. The woman who checked me in said I probably could not get kn the schedule until March, offered me a cup of coffee and sent me in my way. Isatbin the vestibule and thought about what I could do. I made a few phone calls and managed to get an appointment the next day at a other Hershey Med screening facility. I was never informed this was an option.
I have waited weeks for my appointment and the day of turned out to be a disaster. I woke up late rushed out the door to my appointment and managed to make it to my appointment 8 minutes late. Only to find out I was given the wrong building by the time I got in the right building I was 12 mins late but apparently the check in computer was down and only 1 was working.
