This review is solely based on me coming to the school, conducting a school tour, etc My first interaction was with Mrs. Alesha and she was very professional and kind. Due to my child’s school suddenly closing I searched up schools in the area. I came across Penn Quarter KinderCare, the location is spot on and it is metro accessible for those who rely on public transportation. I signed up for a tour online and went on my lunch break. I took a tour February 24 and was told that there was one opening for a two year-old slot and to have everything done As far as paperwork wise for March, March came and I had didn’t hear from anybody so I contacted them myself. I was told by a front desk staff that all I was waiting for was a teacher meeting to be set up to get my child Enrolled fully. Two weeks went by. This school has extremely poor administration and no oversight. Teachers wear earpods and talk on the phone throughout the day and chatting in the hallway not in the classroom watching the kids. I highly recommend they run drug test on teachers as well due to weed smoking before shifts. The classroom didn't have a schedule or routine, didn't have planned activities for the children, bulletin boards were outdated. I appreciate the teachers who took on my son and the assistant director was the best ! I don’t agree with the center director she is very unprofessional, messy and very much not fit for that position. She fires people no put people she know in the building to spy and be messy . But there are some good teachers but the director very unprofessional, not engaging .
