Great food, friendly staff. The type of restaurant that takes pride in every aspect---service, quality, presentation. Too bad young people today rush in and out of fast food and chain accounts to not understand true tradition like Penn Gables. 5 STARS!
We were there on the 9th. He got lasagna and it was delicious, I got a cheeseburger with Swiss chesse. I have to say it was the best tasting burger that I had in a long time. The beef tasted like beef should and the homemade toasted bun completed the sandwich. We usually get the fried mushrooms with cocktail sauce because they are so, so good! Instead we got 2 large DNF and pepperoni pizzas to go. I have to say that we have been coming there for 30+ years and the food just gets better & better everytime. we would be devastat... read more
The waitresses were great but management sucked. The attitude was not appreciated for the amount of money spent.
We have been here on business for 3 weeks and have eaten here 8 times! Amy and Jim take amazing care of their guests. 4 generations of cooking food with the same recipes shows! If it aint broke don't fix it! Have ANYTHING on the menu and you will love it! Going again tonight!
As much as I hate to admit it, the food here is awesome.
Great food. I can actually get a steak as rare as I like it. Bartenders will make special order drinks and not look at me like I'm crazy. Staff is always friendly
The one star was intended solely on the staff .. the pizza that we ordered would definitely get much higher rating.... we are currently sitting in the restaurant and have never been so disappointed in the service that we were given ! The waitress was , to say the least, not very personable and should be given some training in customer service !! Probably will not be returning to this restaurant ! Sad because the pizza was De-lish !!
