My car unfortunately needed a tow due to a tire issue, but this shop and Dan turned a stressful situation into a great experience. I am incredibly grateful to Penn Auto for their integrity, kindness, and expertise. I have had more than one occasion where I left without spending money, once because they told me that the repair suggested by another mechanic was not urgent and another time because they fixed an issue for free. Once over the summer, the co-owner Dan even personally drove around with me as I tried to replicate a clicking sound. It's increasingly difficult to find this kind of service, and I am just truly grateful.

I called this morning to inquire about diagnostic testing for my car, which wouldn't start. When I asked about the cost, the woman who answered lectured me on semantics, stating that what I needed wasn't "diagnostic testing" but rather for them to "look at the car and tell me what’s wrong." (Almost like a diagnosis). She then explained the only possibilities for a car that won't start anyways is the starter, alternator, or battery.
