I recently returned to Penn Animal as a client after several years of going to another vet whose high-tech facility and hours had attracted me, but whose consistently mounting costs finally drove me away. I wish I'd never left Penn Animal. Both Doctors Beck and Bendokas are experienced, knowledgeable, down-to-earth and compassionate. over charged Got major over charged for neutering a kitten--$500. Make sure you don't assume this will be like your other experiences. I've heard this from a couple other people since. I had a vet I trusted for years, and simply had my guard down. Make sure you know up front, in black and white, what you will be charged.

I learned about Penn Animal Hospital from a friend who insisted I visit Dr. Beck to treat my rabbit, despite living an hour away. My bunny was suffering from reoccurring abscesses for over a year. Within a few months, Dr. Beck successfully got rid of them through surgical and pharmacological treatment.
