I've been a member for years but only just signed up for checking and savings. I've had nothing but problems so far. Trouble linking external accounts. The PenFed app simply DOES NOT work on an iPhone. I just spent two hours on the line with customer service trying to sort it. And they cannot. So no app. Also, PenFed doesn't work with Plaid for linking apps/accounts so apps like Venmo will be difficult or impossible to link. I use the Acorns app for round ups and savings on my purchases.
