Outstanding Experience at Penca! Penca truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the warm, rustic atmosphere and the attentive service. We went to Tucson for a weekend and ate at Penca. They do have a smaller menu but those items are amazing. The salsas that come with the chips are all amazing and flavorful. We had the tacos and they were phenomenal. I had the carne asada which reminded me of the carne asada I used to eat when I lived in the Midwest and the chunks were huge. The food here was great: ceviche, vegan chile releno, nice wine, excellent chips, salsa and guacamole. Staff was helpful, friendly, and efficient. There’s outdoor seating on the sidewalk, which we enjoyed, but if you sit out there be prepared for loud cars and the occasionally obnoxious pedestrians.
