So inexpensive we were worried about what we would get. What we got was everything a much more expensive hotel would give us but for about half the cost! We got a clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a full breakfast bar with pancakes and sausage. Would definitely book here again.
When I walked into the Pellston Lodge, with my $180 room reservation, I was instantly overwhelmed by the nauseating, overpowering smell of artificial scents. Some kind of apple/vanilla spice “aroma” permeated the entire lobby and all common areas. When I made the reservation, I was looking forward to using the hotel pool and hot tub—only to discover that the hotel was offering “open swim” for anyone to walk in off the street and use them. We stayed here because the reviews all said that it was clean. Perhaps they hadn't cleaned our room before giving it to us? There was food smeared and dried on the desk, what looked like syrup all over the bed table, and I had to go around and dust everything off and get the long black hairs in the garbage.
