We were at the party last Sunday...wouldn't have minded the cost if the food was good....our catfish and chicken strips were cold, flavorless, and limp and made 2 of our family physically ill. My grilled chicken was inedible because it was overcooked, burnt even, and hard. It was not worth the horrible price we had to pay and we never want to go back.

If I could give a zero I would. And I like Pelicans. But...they use a company to book parties and now I am highly tied to a $550 minimum spend for 33 guests..8 which are kids. Plus tax..plus liquor tax (they forced a $100 bar tab to get to the minimum spend) plus 18% gratuity. The menu is limited and the cost is $15.75 per person for a lunch!! If I cancel they charge me $200. If we go I pay over $700. You do the math..$15.75 for 25 adults and $5.75 for 8 kids. Does not come close to over $700. Apparently a cut goes to this c... read more

I would like to thank you for pointing out the $550 minimum, that was a mistake on our part, with the business we have at Sunday lunch that should be the same as a Sat. Night, which we changed, to $1100. That room seats up to 60 people when you want it private it cost as you would fill it. We also turn that room generally twice on a Sun lunch which we don’t have the opportunity to if it’s closed down.
