Summer's Hot Spot If you are looking for fun, food and to meet people, then you need to visit Pelican's nest on the River. The live bands on Sundays are Awesome! It is a great place to go if you have a boat. They have a marina in the back on the River.
Good food, very noisy atmosphere We went to Pelican's Nest for dinner this past Father's Day, and while the food was good, it happened to be "Band on the Deck" night, and the music was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think. We will give it another try, but we'll make sure it's not when a band is playing.
Very nice waterfront location but the service and food was poor on the Thursday we went for lunch. Three out of four meals were unsatisfactory. The crab sandwich was mushy and tasteless. The strawberry salad lacked the cucumbers it was supposed to have. The chicken wrap was dry and undercooked. Finally after our meals were delivered and we brought to our servers attention she never brought us our appetizer she never apologized but seemed to not really care.
booked a reservation and still had to wait an hour to be seated, then another hour to get the food

I wouldn’t ever recommend this place. It’s sad because it has great potential. The location and view were great. It even had a nice beach feeling walking in. The food was average; nothing good or special about it. The “fish” or fish stick tacos as we called them were gross. My sons BACON burger didn’t have bacon on it. Our waitress was fine other then not respecting us or anyone else enough to wear her mask above her nose l, and even pulling it down to rub her mouth while talking to us.
