Horrible experience with applying for a loan. The lender "pulled" my application the following day without my knowledge. Had I not called to check the status of the loan, I would have never known. Instead of helping me reach answers on the situation, the lenders continued to push the loan. I did not continue with the application as I no longer felt comfortable banking with them until i recieved an answer. My credit card is not due until the 28th of each month. The banks were close for Thanksgiving and Black friday . I could not go pay until Dec.. Late fee due date 28 of each month. Banks close on Thanksgiving and Black Friday Monday is when I went and payed on credit card
Today I phoned Pelican Baton Rouge to enquire about a Title for a Trailer I had paid off - I paid a lump sum of over $4500.00. They are soooooooooooooooo unhelpul - I spoke to N**** and Chr**** who gave me the runaround and I was told that my check needed to clear before they could issue the Title.. Really!!! I have my Bank Statement and the check is CLEARED on the 16th of March 2018!!!!!!!!! I've been with Pelican since I was in high school. I'm changing banks because when my debit card information was stolen and fraudulent charges were made their solution was to direct me to a loan officer. It should not take over a week for the money to be put back in my account. The manager was extremely rude. Why should the customer be punished for something that is not their fault?

First I'll start by saying when I first joined this credit union I never had any issues and if I did they were always there to help. With in this last year I have experienced the worst customer service, incompetent and rude people ever. On 11/21 I spoke with a MSR about an error message I kept receiving she explained to me that it was a government rule that you can only withdraw 6 times a month and that transfers are considered withdrawals.
