Great service, awesome atmosphere and fabulous food made the get together with friends and family special.
First time there. We had a very friendly and nice server. However, for the money they CHARGE the food was lacking in quality. I had the fish and chips. The fish was greasy and over cooked. The chips, if you want to call them that were very, very thin fries and loaded with grease. I was really expecting quality and flavorful food. Friends I know raved about it. I would come here again, the beer was good but I was surprised they didn't have their brand "Pelican" on hand. Food was over priced. I ordered the Steamer Clams, not as flavorful as I would have expected. The couple we were with had the chicken wings and they said they were very very good. Wait time was horrible, however it was worth the wait. the sunset was fantastic and the weather warm. I would come back again but probably for just drinks on the patio. The placed was packed and not nearly enough staff.
Pelican Brew Pub is outstanding, a lot of times you have to wait.....but not to long...so big deal you have to wait, you have beautiful scenery to take in while you wait. The wait is so worth it!!! The place was packed, had hard time finding a place to park. When we were seated the wait staff was excellent!!! Water & menu's right away!! Came back with in a few minutes took our order and to our surprise our lunch was out in about 20 minutes, and I might add it was EXCELLENT!!! It is my first time to visit and enjoy the view of a small island at sea with many people were enjoying the food and drinks on their respective table.
The food and service was amazing and everything was perfect!!
Terrible food but great locations. 1st stop Cannon Beach 2 weeks ago and food was really cold, bland & fish was like hardwood floors. 2nd trip to Pacific Beach this week, food was equally terrible...salmon over cooked, cold and coated with something teeth breakingly crunchy but totally tasteless. Quinoa under salmon tasted of absolutely nothing. Staff are totally amazing, and beach views on the patio just about made the food chewable. I'd go back for a drink but skip the expensive, cold food next time.
Love the food, beer, location and atmosphere. Do not love the ridiculous wait times. We were told it would be an hour wait for a table for 2. We decided that was fine. Then we waited 2 hours for our table. We were seated at a horrible table. I asked to be moved, and was told I needed to speak to the same person that lied to us about the wait time. Clam chowder was good, steamer clams too. Had a taster tray and bought a six pack of 22 ouncers. Sat at the bar rather than wait for a table.
