She’s birthed both my kids and I wouldn’t choose anyone else!!! She does so amazing at her job and makes sure you feel comfortable and everything just happened smoothly as I could imagine.!!
Dr Makres is the best pediatric Doctor in the tri- cities period. And whoever said he isn’t don’t know s##t from shinola.
Dr. Whiles, Rick got me as a new pt in January diagnosing me with something that took more than one visit and a confirmation blood work and dropped me as a pt the day he was suppose to provide me a treatment plan!
He walks into the exam room and begins telling me what he has just reviewed on my chart from other doctors' visits or lab results. He always knows everything that has gone on since my last wellness check. He is easy to talk to and he always listens to what I tell him about my symptoms.
Dr. Makres is such a blessing to me and my daughter. He puts me at ease being a first time mom, always willing to help, and if he doesn't know the answer to your medical question (which is rare), he will sure find it. Seriously an angel on earth!
Doctor Makres is a wonderful doctor. He’s blunt and up front which is one reason I like. I would rather have a up front doctor than one that beats around the bush. He goes out of the way to make sure my children are well even sees them on sundays. Great doctor
Peggy Staton is the worst. I went to her because I was under alot of stress and was depressed. (I have BPD and couldn't get into see my psychiatrist). I went to her for help. She would not listen to me and dismissed everything I was trying to tell her. She said it was probably my thyroid. I became very upset because she wouldn't listen and had a full blown panic attack in her office/check out station and she said nothing, did nothing. I wouldn't recommend her to ANYONE.
Chose this Dr. when my daughter was born due to coworkers recommendations and I'm glad I did! She's always been more than amazing. There's been a handful of times we've had to see other Dr.'s if she's been out & I can say they've been hit & miss. I've seen two other people that'd I'd consider using as a backup and the rest have been horrible (if she's in she's ALWAYS willing to work us in if necessary though). She's thorough, listens to everything, doesn't try to rush & my daughter LOVES her!
My mother was a patient of Dr. Whiles for 5+ years. We watched her health deteriorate quickly. A 55 year smoker, terrible cough, and low oxygen, Dr. Whiles never even ordered a chest x-ray. First appointment with a new doctor, he ordered at home oxygen, gave her an antibiotic for her cough, and found a mass in her lungs. Three weeks after that first PCP appointment, we have an oncology visit scheduled at UNC. Dr. Whiles diagnosed my mom with asthma when she really had lung cancer.
