So her today for the first time. I was nervous because I’ve gained a lot of weight suddenly after having my last baby - and I found out my thyroid is super wacked out. Every other dr just says lose weight. She didn’t once blame my weight. If anything I can’t lose the weight because of the thyroid!! She was super understanding. I took my mother to see Dr Peggy for her diabetes and we haven't seen anyone else. Dr Peggy came highly recommended by another physician. Even though we live an hour away, my mother refuses to have her diabetes managed by anyone else. Dr Peggy is very patient, a good listner who allows you to finish your thought and then explains her thoughts as well as answer questions. She is kind and easily reached via the patient portal. She has always been ready to go the extra mile for my mother. She is an amazing physician!
Dr Amoakohene is a passionate endocrinologist who is dedicated to excellent patient care. She is very thorough with her medical care and was awarded as one of the top doctors in Northern Virginia. She took excellent care of my mum when we visited her clinic. Thank you Dr Peggy!!
I am so blessed to have Doctor Amoakohene as my doctor. She is an amazing doctor and makes me feel as she really cares when I go for appointments. She addresses things about my health and answers questions that many doctors don’t even go over, thank you for treating me as a person and taking the time to explain things to me. Thank you for your time that you give at all my appointments. You’re a great doctor!
I've left a negative review of the office where Dr. Amoakohene is based now, but since Dr. Amoakohene is so great, I wanted to leave a review here emphasizing that Dr. Amoakohene herself is such a great doctor and endocrinologist. She can be very blunt (yes, I need to lose a few pounds STILL), but she is always very helpful if you reach out to her about your health goals.
