Exceptional Dining We had the most wonderful dinner at the Peerless Restaurant. I'm still amazed that this little town has such world class cuisine. We dined outside in a charming garden area- It was wonderful and I highly recommend.
The Peerless Restaurant This is a charming hotel/restaurant. I can't speak to the hotel, but the restaurant is very, very good. The menu features small plates featuring local/regional food. The outdoor dining area is lovely with tables spaced nicely apart and asymmetrically so you can feel like it's a private garden. It's a very pleasurable dining experience.
One of the good restaurants in Ashland For a tiny town this little city sure has great dining. There are 3 or 4 restaurants in Ashland that serve food as excellent as Manhattan or San Francisco and this is one of them. This is a "laid back" restaurant where you can relax and eat in the garden but the food is truly world class. Ashland is a fun place to visit - pretty scenery- nice people and GREAT food.

Beautiful indoor and outdoor dining!

Haunted Being that Ashland is a town full of storytellers, it goes without saying that we would have tales of local ghosts and one of my favorites involves the Peerless Hotel. The ghosts who live here have good taste anyway. The hotel was once a boarding house for railroad workers and was restored into a fine place that is now on the National Registry for Historic Places. You can still see the old coca-cola ad painted on the side of the building and if you stand outside late at night you just might hear the whistle of a trai... read more
