Just trying to get back the $800 this company owes me because insurance sent Pediatrix an adjusted EOB after I paid in full. Every time I call I’m on hold for an extended period of time. I was told they mailed the check over a month ago (November 17th), but it never came. On December 16th I was told I would get a call back about it, but no one has called a week later. These are hospitalist pediatricians that visited my newborn after delivery at St Francis. They visited her twice. She had absolutely no medical conditions, born via scheduled, non-emergent c-section at term, and had no un-anticipated needs. The doctors were both extremely young and seemed ill-equipped to answer my routine questions. One of them told me my daughter had an umbilical hernia. I was trying to set up a payment plan on 11/12/21 but my card was charged for the full balance & the half payment of the plan. I called the same day and explained what happened, I requested a refund of the half payment since I’ve already paid in full. I was told that it was going to be refunded back to my card within 5-7 business days, and to call back within 2 weeks if I don’t see it in my bank account.
