My wife and I had a horrible experience with Pediatrix for the birth of our daughter. We are being billed for two doctors who never saw our daughter and a third who put my wife in tears by immediately accusing her of being a horrible mother for underfeeding our newborn simply because her milk had not come in 24 hours after the birth. We didn't even want to use Pediatrix, but they were the only pediatrician available at the hospital due to COVID, so we had no choice. As a self pay customer I asked how much my emergency ultrasound would be and they assured me it was going to be 1200$, which was a lot more than I could afford but I agreed since they put pressure on the necessity of it. They billed me for 3100$!! They did a lot of unnecessary extra things during the ultrasound that apparently cost a lot more than the quote and never asked if that was ok. Absolutely the worst billing system and customer service I have ever had with a medical group. Most of my other medical bills are willing to work with me in regards to making payments, but I have heard the run around from Pediatrix multiple times. My first attempt to set up a payment plan, I was told I would be able to make payments of $25 a month, which I really struggle with 6 other medical bills asking for the same amount and more.
