Dr. McCarthy is truly a hero of the Pacific/Inland Northwest. This is a man who embarked on a journey with a rare & terminal illness in the “late 1900s”. In 1997 my parents were told “this baby is failure to thrive. We suspect she might have a rare genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis. She likely won’t make it to adulthood”. Dr. McCarthy is the best pediatric Pulmonologist. My son gets the best care and treatment. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this office.
My son was born severely ill with the highest food allergy ever heard of from all food groups. And thanks to the selflessness of the dr.s and all staff, I found hope that my son could have some sort of painless unshamed life in this tragic illness born with in him. Dr. McCarthy and his staffs both when he was at Deaconess and since moving to Providence, cared for my son, Granville Or man, for 30 years. I cannot express my utmost faith, confidence, and unwavering trust that I have in him, his judgement, his professionalism, and his compassion...not only to his patients but to their loved ones as well.
