Past patient here, I was admitted in November of 2025 and that was probably the worst experience of my life. I was hospitalized for SI and once I was admitted after probably an hour and a half of waiting I wasn’t given anything to eat besides a bag of chips for the entire six hours there. Most of the time they wouldn’t have anything to replace it with so it was either eat the rotten food or have to drink ensure which they encourage parents to punish when ensure is needed. In the inpatient program, I was yelled at by one of the mileu therapists for struggling... read more
My child was there 8 years ago for an eating disorder. Eight years later, as an adult, she is still traumatized by the experience. I hope things have changed since! She was there for 3 months and never saw outside the walls of the unit - not one breath of fresh air. Their policy was to make eating disorder patients gain more than their goal weight to compensate for eventual weight loss. If you know anything about eating disorders, you know this will backfire (which it did). The clinicians were very patronizing and accusatory... read more
