Just want to take a moment to review our experience at MGH labor and delivery. We were visiting Boston from out of town. My daughter was advised, from her OB/GYN, to go to the nearest ED after describing symptoms that were out of the norm. We were immediately received with kindness and compassion. She was quickly seen and monitored. The women in the labor and delivery unit were lovely. I was being seen by Dr Fourman at the metabolism clinic. I had trouble with the administrator in her office from the beginning . Virtually all of my blood labs were lost and had to be searched for. The staff was inefficient and hostile. I complained to the doctor, as well as the patient advocates office. The last straw was when Dr Foreman ordered an ultrasound of my carotid artery and the results were not received or viewed by the doctor for almost 6 months. This could have had grave consequences.
