Today I went there with my son. When I first made the appointment Debbie at the front desk was adamant that my two year old wear a mask. He doesn’t and I told them that, but when I got there the front office staff were extremely rude and dismissive but they wanted you to do THEIR paperwork. Well we went into the room to have my child’s eyes checked and they dialated them. Dr. Black has been my kids' eye doctor for 10+ years. It had been over 2 years since my daughter (14) last had an eye exam. She has old glasses that are in bad shape, and sometimes she will borrow an older pair of mine. But she doesn't wear them often. She's borderline on needing them or not, but both she and I wanted her to go ahead and get an updated Rx and some new glasses. RecommendedDr Andrew Black and his staff are always friendly anytime that I have questions or need refills for my son, they are always quick and on top of everything.
Great eye doctors here. They basically treat pediatrics, but they have been seeing me ever since I was little. Dr. Bradly Black my doctor retired, and I currently see his Nephew Andrew Black.
Dr. Black is lovely. But the front desk staff seems harried and stressed out. This is evident in how short they are with patients.
Don't get me wrong, I love Dr Andrew Black, IF I could get my child in to see him in a timely manner. She has had surgery for an issue and continues to have the issue intermittently. Dr Black told me to call the day that her issue had flared so that he could examine her while it was active. I call for an appointment and they wanted me to wait 3 weeks for one. When I argue and explain that Dr Black wanted to see her when her problem was active they come back with an appointment 8 days out. Totally ridiculous for a problem in ... read more
Unfortunately, we were unable to see a doctor. I called in mid-February to make an appointment in early March. The receptionist whom scheduled my appointment made it for a month prior (Early Feb, instead of March). We showed up for our appointment and all she said was that we missed our appointment. No apology, no offer to re-schedule. This is unfortunate because we were highly recommended to them by our Pediatrician. For the aforementioned experience, we will visit another Pediatric Eye Doctor.
We drive 2 hours to see Dr. Black! He is well worth the drive!
