Needed medical device for my daughter was told insurance wouldnt cover it later called my insurance just to be told the nurse nor the doctor never made an attempt to reach them to actually see if the device would be covered, and that I indeed would have been covered.
My family of four children is new to this practice. We began seeing physicians over the summer. The front desk staff has always been courteous, hard-working, and easy to work with. Amelia Fitts, NP was amazing! She truly listened to our concerns, and my daughter felt comfortable and heard throughout the entire visit. Amelia took her time, explained everything clearly, and made the experience so positive. We’d definitely recommend seeing her!
My kids have seen Dr. Downey for a couple of years now, and we love him. However, I am extremely disappointed in the practice. I just had my third child, Dr. Downey even handed me the newborn packet in preparation for her first visit. I called at 7:30 in the morning on the day we were being discharged from the hospital to get her newborn appointment set up. I recently had to get a school physical for my daughter before she starts kindergarten, and unfortunately, our experience at this pediatrician’s office was very disappointing. I expected a warm, kid-friendly environment, but instead, it felt cold and unwelcoming.
