Booked my car in to have the brakes replaced—nothing more. Not long after the car had been dropped off, I received a phone call advising that a safety inspection had been completed and was presented with a quote for over $3,000 worth of additional repairs. When I picked the car up, I was then told they would not release it unless I signed a waiver stating that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. I was travelling thro the area when I had an issue with my rear brakes ... This was very close to the June long weekend... The guys were kind enough to assess, quote, order parts and fit the following day so I wouldn't be stuck without a vehicle over a long weekend with nowhere to stay, as I live in my vehicle, and I was in my way ... I found them to be honest, helpful and informative and extremely accommodating to my situation ... The cost was comparative and I have not had any further issues ... Nice guys, but hardly honest. Went for a wheel alignment, but walked away with no alignment and almost a $4800 quote for repairs that hardly need done. For example; I was quoted for all suspension bushes, they are cracking and aged but still well serviceable. A quote for a steering box replacement for excessive movement. But the steering box has barely excessive movement, and can probably be adjusted. But they forgot to suggest or mention this. I understand that a profit needs to be made, but a waste of my time and an insult... read more
