After 2 years and 4 other doctors, I made an appointment with Dr Omey in Carlsbad, NM. It was absolutely the best decision for me. She immediately heard what I was saying and recommended a trigger thumb release. Only 2 weeks since surgery and I already have better movement and control of my thumb. Office has been helpful when I’ve called and I’ve been treated kindly and respectfully. I will absolutely use her for other orthopedic concerns
I was so fortunate for Dr. Omey to be my surgeon. I had a previous surgery on my hand that was pretty nasty and not done correctly. The previous surgeon told me nothing about it so I thought I had to live with the plate lifted on my bone for the rest of my life. Extremely painful... If you experience a trauma and are brought to Carlsbad Medical Center ER, you’ll get a doctor from this office. Their physicians don’t live in the area. They perform surgery on you and leave town. I woke up scared with many questions. They have no one on-call to cover the office. Only a locum to cover trauma related injuries. The office staff is not helpful at all.
