I'm sure that the NP working under the psychiatrist is trying her best given the resources, but I've felt she's been unable to help my daughter and at my request diagnostic tests that could give done info were shot down. We've tried 5 APs that only had worsened her. So sad that this is the best we can do with those whom are suffering with intellectual disabilities AND mental health.
I am a licensed therapist and had been told by client after client that I referred to them that their system is not helpful and it takes over a month to get an appointment. I also have clients who said their sessions would be cancelled and rescheduled frequently. I called in myself to see if I could get an appointment.
