Our experience with Peak Properties moving in has been very unpleasant. We moved into the property and the stairwell and backyard were a complete mess. When reaching out the the property manager, we were met with hostility and disregard. This has been the consistent tone of Peak Properties and their management. If we have any sort of question or concern, we are ignored and spoken to condescendingly. We have spoken with other residents in the building and they have had the same experience as us. I am not looking forward to sp... read more

To whom it may concern: We have received your complaint. We do apologize for anything that has transpired. Please note yes the backyard was in terrible shape when they moved in. It's all cleaned up now. The owner is aware and was going to make this backyard a fall project but that is TBD. In addition, Sharron will continue to be the manager for the building. However if they need anything they do not need to communicate with Sharron. They can talk to Cory Eisenstein directly who is her supervisor. His contact info is CEisens... read more

TERRIBLE PLACE! if you guys are looking for an apartment, don't even consider peak properties. They are so disorganized, vague with paperwork, and just the worst to work with. It has been over a month since we tried to sign a lease but they would never answer calls or emails. When they did, it was always something wrong about the paperwork and could not get refunds for our cosigner applications. Honestly, this has been one of the worst experiences of my entire life (yes it was that frustrating) and the people are so unprofes... read more
Due to COVID-19 we are being asked to work from home and cut social interactions. Despite this, Peak properties is still sending crews of construction workers into our apartment building. They are renovating the entire building which means multiple drills running all day long, next door, above, and below my unit. How are we supposed to work from home with this noise? How are supposed to have virtual meetings from home when we can't even hear the other party over the noise? This is an extremely insensitive response to a globa... read more

Hello, I have received your complaint, however there is no information provided. Please provide me with the issue so I can look further into this.
Never live in a Peak Properties building. I experienced their poor management a few years ago when I was in an older building, and swore that I would never live in one of their buildings again. However, a nice new luxury apartment went up in my neighborhood that they manage, and I figured it would be different because nothing could go wrong with the building, or maybe they would treat luxury renters a bit better. I was very wrong. The management is rude and horrible at their jobs. Their only tactic is to stall you and not re... read more

To whom it may concern: Please note that we are the Management company and the face of the building, however if you dig a little deeper you will see that this building was just built in April of this year. As a new construction building, everything is under warranty and there is a process/protocol that needs to be followed to get items repaired that malfunction. Unfortunately, we are at the hands of the developer and consistently work hand in hand with them to make sure items get repaired.
The building managers, as well as the overall managers of the company are exceptionally rude, unprofessional and unresponsive. They are completely ill equipped to manage buildings and tenants. I have lived in a lot of buildings throughout Chicago, and never experienced issues quite like this. Just last week, the unit 3 doors down from mine had a fire. I knew to evacuate when I smelled smoke, due to the entire hallway being filled with smoke. The fire alarms NEVER went off. Instead of looking into the issue, or apologizing, t... read more
I moved in 3 weeks ago and I already regret that I did. Since I moved here there has been construction noises due to a facade renewal about which I was not notified at all. I would have moved to a different apartment if I had been told that we'd have this constant annoyance. I can't even open my windows because my apartment gets full of dust, and the noise is horrible and doesn't allow me to sleep after 8 am, not even on saturdays. I feel deceived by your company and truly think this is something you should notify in advance... read more
I submitted two emails to inquire about a place but I have received no response. It's been about a week. And I was looking forward to tour a property. I might have to look else where.
Business response:
With all due respect, we always check our emails and voicemails. It's possible they had the email wrong. Can you please let them know to reach out to me so I can close this out for them? I'd be more than happy to connect them to the right person. My email is *********@peakproperties.biz
I have been trying to find a resolution to a drain fly infestation within the apartment. The apartment was dirty and had bugs when I moved in, but I am a DIY type of person so I (along with a friend) cleaned the apartment and placed bug bombs in the unit prior to moving my things in. I have put in multiple maintenance requests, one for a stove back in April 2019 which still has not been fixed, but the maintenance request was updated to a completed status. This is the last month of my lease and I was out of town last month (J... read more
Business response:
To Whom It may Concern at the BBB: The day we heard about this bug issue we created a work order and sent platinum. Platinum has been out and the janitor has been out a few times to clean up the dead bugs. The last time was on Saturday July 13, 2019. Although a credit could of been warranted, he demanded it before we were even given a chance to resolve. He is fully vacated from this unit.
