BEWARE OF INFESTATION OF LARGE ROACHES. I am at 4625 N Winchester Ave. The building is infested with 1.5inches large ROACHES. They are making me wait almost a week to get an exterminator out. The property manager has hung up on me multiple times while trying to resolve this issue. Peak took over my apartment building in the Spring of 2020 after having lived there almost 5 years. Nothing fancy but it was home and I was comfortable and happy. Enter Peak Properties...they moved me into a different unit with roaches that took 4 exterminator visits to get rid of the problem. THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN MONTHLY SPRAYING OF THEIR BUILDINGS FOR ROACHES BECAUSE IT COSTS TOO MUCH MONEY SO THEY WAIT UNTIL A TENANT COMPLAINS AND THEN CALL THE EXTERMINATOR TO SPRAY AND THE ROACHES MOVE TO THE APARTMENTS ADJACENT!! Update...I've had no heat sin e yesterday afternoon and 2 calls to their emergency maintenance number has resulted in NOTHING, NO RESPONSE YET and the hallway is warmer than it is in my apartment! DO NOT RENT FROM PEAK! I rarely write reviews and have to admit this has probably been the worst business relationship/customer service issue I've ever had in my life! I wanted to reach out to you regarding a complaint I have for PEAK PROPERTIES. I live at * **** *** ******and Peak Properties took over our building right before the pandemic March 2020. (turned it from condos into rentals). They are one of the worst property management companies with many tenant complaints (Google reviews speak for themselves). It’s been pretty miserable living here and working from home during the pandemic as there is nonstop construction noises that sometimes start as early as 6:30AM on a Saturday morning... read more
FYI... On average I kill 2-3 roaches every day in the interior stairwell and entrance/lobby. Just killed one on my way back from getting coffee. A sign of a good reputable landlord or property management company is regular ENTIRE BUILDING spraying/treating for roaches! My ex spent years in property management and before he moved managed an upscale building in Lakeshore East. Why Peak chooses to be reactive instead of proactive in pest control makes absolutely no sense! You send an exterminator in only when you receive a comp... read more

They try to ruff shot over the tenants when they take over a property. Came in and tried to move everyone out after they took over
i applied for an apartment and 1st of all the application fee ia $79.00 and you cannot complete your submission unless you provide a 350 00 deposit. I was very reluctant to submit but i needed to move. The agent told me more than likely i would be approved. A week passed i had to contact the agent for status. He didnt know. Everyday for an additional week i had to contact them. They should have been following up with me. I asked to have my application cancelled and refund my deposit 3 days ago.
