Peak Dental told me I had 3 cavities, needed a deep clean so bad that they needed to numb my whole mouth, and needed a night mouth guard because I grind me teeth = $900 with insurance (mouth guard $500 alone). All to be done over 2 seperate appointments. 2 weeks later... Family Dentistry next door told me my teeth look great and white, gums are healthy with almost no bleeding, NO CAVITIES, and no mention of mouth guard or teeth grinding! Don’t come here - I thought it was just me but after today and reading the review below I can see my intuition was correct. This is a terrible dentist office. When I first came 6+ months ago I was also told how terrible I grind my teeth and needed a night guard, they also immediately recommended fillings, crowns, and more which I knew was shady but went along with most of it because well - I’m not a dentist. I went here about a year ago and the visit was honestly just so chaotic. They tried to charge me for a service I didn’t even get (I’m sure they weren’t trying to swindle me but still very unprofessional if I had not caught it I would have paid more than I should have) and after my visit I decided to switch dentists. I’ve tried to call Peak Dental to get my dental x rays and they agreed to send them over and never did. Be careful with Peak Dental! This is a rudderless business with have no management and therefore no communication. Dr. Luis Oraca and Dr. Zizi who first saw me have since vanished and left their clients to deal with their mess. Keisha the office manager for the north location who promised to help track someone down for us to at least get our money back has also decided to take the same direction and told us there was nothing they could do nor would she put us in contact with anyone. Peak Dental - South Austin is a dental gem! The staff greeted me warmly, and I was seen promptly. Dental Assistant Crystal was incredibly sweet and gentle, guiding me through each step of the process with care. Dr. Zaffetti was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to thoroughly explain all my treatment options, alleviating any concerns I had about my dental plan.
