Had stents inserted to correct varicose veins. Four hours later left their office in a wheelchair because I had lost full function of my leg. Dr Penn, a rather smirk fellow stated I must have a low threshold for pain and seemed rather obtuse to the fact I could not walk. Dr Allison did send me for further testing at the hospital but doctors seemed more worried about proving stents were ok than trying to figure out what had happened. They should have placed me in an ambulance instead of having us drive. Dr Penn never offered.... read more

My first appointment was arranged through because of a referral by my diabetes doctor, whom I trust implicitly. I saw the doctor on my first visit, who wanted an ultrasound of my legs, which I did. But all my subsequent appointments were with someone else, who was very abrupt, and when I didn't go along with scheduling surgery on both of my legs right away, was through with me, not willing to find an alternative to doing laser surgery on my legs.
