My wife had wrist fracture surgery three weeks ago, and she still has not had a follow-up appointment with her surgeon. In that time, she has developed serious symptoms — her hand is darker than the other, sometimes hot, sometimes swollen, and the skin looks glossy. Really nice office and staff however I advise you to check into the cost of a visit before you go. Elbow xray and two minutes with the doctor resulted in a $1k billed to insurance and patient responsibility of $400. Physical therapy was going to be $1200 or so, we didn’t even end up doing it so are out the money for nothing. No communication about potential patient responsibility until 30 days after the appointment when the bill came. Office says sorry, nothing they can do to negotiate a better rate. I went to Peachtree Orthopedics in Cumming for dry needling, and the therapist performing the procedure punctured my lung. They admitted this happened and is not denying the claim. To make matters worse, the physical therapist who removed the e-stim and needles from my back was not licensed in dry needling. Right after the needling, I knew something was wrong.
