I rented Payless via Expedia on my visit to Miami. They appeared to be the most economical option, but I am regretting it big time. I'll start off on the positive. The AVIS person who helped me at the counter was extremely well mannered, and professional. I even asked their name for the review, but I can't remember it now. My experience was terrible. Reserved a SUV car in advance for pick up at 8:45am, long and slow line. At 10am they said they didn’t have any SUV available and they gave me a big TRUCK, I said I wasn’t confortable driving a truck, and the answer was: we don’t have any small car available, I won’t be talking in circles with you. So what’s the point of the advanced reservation? I had to drive a truck all weekend and pay high price tickets for parking at parking lots around Miami because the car was considered a big car. This rental place is the worst ever. The employees there want to take advantage of you BEAWARE ...they will make up fees and insurances on top of other insurances forcing you to pay a lot more money that other car rentals. Then they refuse to refund anything. The lady behind the counter is very sketchy. Takes copies of id's and ceedit cards etc. Very careful people!!!!

The bus place was packed but I had great service and they gave a really good one way drop price. Will absolutely rent from them again!

Arrived 5 minutes before closing time (because of MIA Mover maintenance), but there was already no one to be seen at the desks anymore. People from Avis tried to help out as best they could, but because they work with a prehistoric system this cost over an hour.
