Wish I could leave 0 stars! DO NOT rent with Payless!!! We signed our initial paperwork which had a potential charge of about $700 (appeared to be the deposit, we assumed we would get that money back). We had to wait over an hour for our car, and were then told that we got upgraded FOR FREE because of the long wait time. When we returned the car we were fully charged for the $700 and given a bill listing many illegitimate charges. Most unbelievable rental I’ve ever experienced. Rented car fine at the Tulsa Airport. No issues and the lady at counter was pleasant and easy to work with. Drove car 1 day, about 50 miles and had a flat tire. There is no spare tire with vehicle. Payless/Avis was going to charge me a minimum of $130 to tow car back to airport so I could uber back to airport to get a replacement car. The tires were threadbare on the inside tread. I was sent back and forth between the counter and outside late at night in below freezing weather. I had reserved a mid-size SUV. The clerk at the counter was more interested in small talk about snowboarding than getting me on my way. I was told when I arrived that I was being 'upgraded' to a Durango. This is not an upgrade - the gas mileage is much worse than a mid-size SUV and it won't fit in the parking garage of the hotel I was staying in. I only give "5" reviews unless a business is so horrendous that it deserves a 1. Unlike ANY other location in the nation, Payless at TUL has a strong tendency to charge customers a $450 cleaning fee. So, I will NEVER EVER AGAIN rent from Payless. You rip a customer off, you lose business.
