My cat, Martha, got outside and had a big laceration in her side. Everyone at PawMed was terrific, including front desk staff, vet techs, and Dr. Johnson. After my cat was discharged I had some questions and they responded right away. Glad to know PawMed is here in case we need them again!
My dog had emergency behavior so I had to call the emergency vet. I knew it was going to be a little different but... They came out to the car because he was coughing. I told them he wasn't sick. But we had to hold him in the parking lot while they checked him out and gave him fluids. But.. my dog is not well. At all. Like I'm worried he's maybe going to die and they charge me $400 dollars for a shot for his vomiting. They were with him for 5 or 7 minutes total. $400 dollars. First of all, as a full time nurse practitioner and entrepreneur, I really tremendously appreciate the fact of a veterinary urgent care so that I don't have to inconveinence my own human patients to take time off from the office or pay someone to take them for me . I have used PawMed probably 3 or 4 times in the past few years and they provide the service that we strive to achieve in human care- warm greeting, comfortable wait, caring exam, appropriate interventions, conveinence. This is the second time we have brought our dog Lola to PawMed. We had such a good experience the first time, PawMed was top of mind with this latest "emergency". Cody, Jess, and Dr Carol were very patient and understanding throughout our visit. I never felt pressure to order any tests that they recommended and we worked out a reasonable plan of action. I highly recommend!
This is a great urgent care. Our primary vet couldn’t see our dog, so we took him here. The following day we took our other dog in as well. They were quick to get them in, kind, and very reasonably priced. I was surprised at how fairly priced it was. The vet we saw was wonderful, as was the tech. I hope we don’t have to go back, but this is definitely the place I will go to if we do!
