The Hard Sell – I recently moved here and took my cat Bootsie to this office. She had an eye infection and they gave me some salve. When I tried to renew the medication, they informed me the vet had to schedule an appointment before the medication could be prescribed. I understood this but I had to go out of town on business for two weeks; the vet tech argued with me and said before the medication could be renewed, I had to bring Bootsie in. Do not kennel your animals with this vet! – We had been going to this vet for 3 years. We had a older cat that came to them with skin problems. No vet could figure out what her problem was, but they treated her the best she could. We had to put her down and they were very sweet to us during that hard time. The only major problem we had with them with our cat was when we boarded her in their kennel. When we picked her up she was COVERED in scabs and was sick. Always good service – Me, my sisters, and my mom have been going to Dr. Pavlov's for about 15 years. There really is a Dr. Pavlov, but there are other vets as well. We have never had any experiences with rude staff, or being "talked down to". I suspect some of the bad ratings may have been from some of the vets who were not there for long. All Great Except For One – I've been to Pavlov's Pet Hospital about 4 or 5 times now. I have a 2 1/2 month pitbull puppy and I've taken her here ever since I've had her. The staff is really friendly and they know my puppy as soon as I bring her in. She's been there twice for shots and then two more times to cure a coccidia problem. You get what you pay for. – Dr. Pavlov is the worst vet I've ever taken my dog to, in her entire 12 years of life. I just relocated to San Antonio and was trying to find a vet that we could start getting adjusted to. I took her today to get checked up, because as she is 12 years old, I believe she has early stages of arthritis. When I told him why I brought her there he rudely said that she's fat. Great care, fair price. – I've taken my dogs to Pavlov's for 10+ years now. "Dr. P" as some family members refer to him is fantastic. He really does care very much for the animals and takes excellent care of them. (And being a woman I have never encountered even a hint of the attitude the first reviewer mentioned...) Although I have thought some of the other vets under him were a little strange, no matter which vet I got they always took great care of my dogs and cared about them. His prices are very fair as well.
Best vet hospital ever! – I love , love love this vet hospital! I've been taking my animals to Dr. Pavlov for 8 years when my cat was diagnosed with FIP and Dr. Pavlov did an awesome job at comforting myself and my family once we knew for sure it was time for Sam to go. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER – I have been a client of Dr. Pavlov's for a number of years now and though the facility is an older building and very plain on the inside waiting area, the service has always been perfect for us. The staff always tries to get us in the same day I call or whenever is convenient for us. The handling of our pets during exams (both dog and cat) has always been very gentle but thorough. I hate Pavlov's – I have been to Pavlov's and I have never seen such a rude human being. Dr. Pavlov is cheap and cruel and is very degrateing towards women. I think he needs to return to Bolgaria where he comes from because this United States does not need this type of man in this country.He is very aggressive towards animals and his clinic is cheap and trashy like the uneducated staff that he has.
