I wasn't pleased with Dr. Pathak's treatment. He ignored a painful issue I was experiencing and had addressed with him. Additionally, his office staff does not return calls or messages. I spoke with several receptionists and left messages for a return call and they NEVER returned my calls. Not impressed with this office on several levels.

Not regarding appointment, but called to ask about medications. I have placed 9 phone calls in this week, and have not received a returned call, leaving voicemail messages for a return call. No returned calls. Been his patient well over 10 years.

Extremely brilliant and knowledgeable. Willing to explain things in detail, and to talk things through with the patient. Felt very comfortable that we were a partnership of sorts in making important decisions about the direction of care.

Dr Pathik saved my husbands life at St. Joseph’s three years ago when he had encephalitis and a stroke. This doctor has loads of experience and is extremely intelligent. He has always been very upfront with us about everything. If you want a doctor who can really assess the situation and help you, this is your guy! If you want a doctor to hold your hand and tell you everything is rosy, keep looking.

My experience wasn't only with Dr . Pathak, it was with his entire office. To be fair, he works out of more than one office. The Fountain Valley office sucks. They never answer their phones. I needed a referral for CT Scans because my family has a genetic disorder that can cause strokes/aneurysms. My mother died from complications of a stroke caused by an aneurysm. My 41 year old son almost died of a stroke caused by an aneurysm. I was told by 3 doctors to get the scans. The referral never got forwarded to the insurance comp... read more

It was very bad. He was not prepared for the visit. He had no information why we were there. He was very rude, asking my husband questions and saying that he had Demetria or Alzheimer after 4 questions. First he intimidated him and told him to start taking UBER. Must have stock in it. He said he was going to notify the health department to stop him driving. He doubled his medicine and ordered a second medicine. He had no blood works, no medical history, but started making decision that hurt my husband. He should not be a doc... read more

Not good. When I have questions, his answers are what I Google. He should be asking me questions. He put me on a drug that supposedly worked. It didn't. He didn't asked questions, just changed it out. Didn't work again-- just changed it out. Couldn't answer questions. Most answers started out with "it's complicated..." and only got, let's see how this works. Went for a second opinion, his MRIs, EEGs were sloppy and incomplete. His notes didn't even have details in them. Just "she seems rested."
