Pauly's Hotel has been a mainstay on Albany's social scene for over a century. This watering hole opened its doors in 1862 and is one of the oldest taverns in town. I played here this weekend and my whole band had a great night. Sound was great, staff was helpful and friendly and the local crowd was awesome. Good beer/liquor selection is also a plus. Thanks again guys
Most unprofessional, & unfriendly place. The friendliest person was the bouncer. Sound guy was useless. Bartender was zoned out for a non busy bar. No pay and no drink specials for bands. Horrible organizations for band and band info. Sound guy was nowhere to be found to help set up aka do his job....meanwhile he was at the bar while everyone was looking for him and set up the bands and sound 15 mins after start time of show while bands where there an hour prior. I'm writing this review just as a warning to touring bands: don't play here. the actual bar is nice but it's very poorly run and unlike literally every other venue we've played at, whether it's basements or other bars, they don't pay you if you don't bring in enough to pay the door and sound person. bands don't even get a glass of free water here. don't doooooooo it
Love playing here. It's a great venue, awesome staff.
Great stage, hooking the mic up to the pa sounds killer, attracts a cool group of cats most of the time, and the metal scene lives on in Albany, so rock out with your clock out mang
It's a place where you can hear good live music , and where you can rock out!
