I went in about two weeks ago asking about a highlight consultation and to get an estimate on how much it would cost for face-framing highlights. Without even touching my hair, the hairdresser told me she couldn’t work with it because it was too dry and “looked bad to work with.” She went on to say that I would have to come in every two weeks if I even considered doing highlights, and that I should cut off the parts that were already highlighted. Took 3 years for me to look for a place that I can trust with my long, thick hair - someone who actually takes into account the style i want and can collaborate to make it better!
