Outstanding! Went in for evaluation of what appeared to be an infected toenail. He was very personable, friendly, and showed a real interest in me as a person with an issue. He explained the condition in detail and the options to resolve the issue.

EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS!!! I am pain free, without pain medication and wearing normal shoes, 10 weeks after my bunionectomy on my right foot. My left foot bunionectomy was done by an orthopedic surgeon several years ago, and I dreaded having my second foot done, because my first bunionectomy recovery took over one year, before I was pain free in normal shoes. I am forever grateful for the improved quality of life Dr Shapiro has given me.

Yeah, he's a nice guy, but he has a cavalier attitude toward care and is quick to suggest surgery. He surgically removed corns on my toes about 10 years ago, and said I'd be "dancing in high heels" within 3 months. Instead, I couldn't even put on a closed shoe for more than a year. My insurance assigned me to him last year for plantar fasciitis, and he just sort of shrugged when steroid injections didn't work & said surgery would be next option, despite horrid NHI rating. I have a new doc.

Dr. Shapiro takes time to listen and also to explain things. He has treated my three sons and me and I recommend him.
